The Miami Dolphins suffered a very disappointing loss to the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday, 31-17, and it’s back to the drawing board for them as they try to prove they’re legitimate Super Bowl contenders.

Their offense has been spectacular and explosive this season, and star wide receiver Tyreek Hill is on a historic tear.

However, Hill has a bad hip, and there is a chance he will miss this Sunday’s game against the New England Patriots.

Per NBC Sports Boston, Armando Salguero says that while “it’s a bad day for the Dolphins when they don’t have” Hill, they may not be missing a whole lot if Hill is unable to suit up versus New England.

Through seven games, Hill has 902 receiving yards and seven receiving touchdowns, and if he plays in enough games, perhaps he will have a real shot at reaching 2,000 yards, something no player has ever done in NFL history.

However, as Salguero pointed out, Patriots head coach Bill Belichick has had a successful gameplan for shutting him down.

In Week 2 of this season, the Dolphins traveled to Massachusetts to play the Patriots, and Hill was held to just five catches and 40 yards.

In Week 16 of last season, he only managed 55 yards on four catches against New England.

The Patriots are coming off a surprising 29-25 win over the Buffalo Bills last weekend, and although they’re just 2-5 on the season, it’s always possible they have figured something out in order to turn around what has looked like a miserable year so far.
