With only a few weeks left until the 2024 NFL Draft gets underway on April 25, everyone seems to be talking about all the talented quarterbacks in this draft class and where they might land on draft day.

It seems on a daily basis that draft boards from draft experts change when it comes to these talented young quarterbacks, with players going up and down these draft boards outside of Caleb Williams out of the University of Southern California, who will almost certainly be taken No. 1 overall by the Chicago Bears.

After Williams is off the board at No. 1, things get interesting with a few quarterbacks in contention to go No. 2 to the Washington Commanders and No. 3 to the New England Patriots.

Over the past few months, the consensus has been that Drake Maye and Jayden Daniels would go No. 2 and No. 3, but things keep changing with J.J. McCarthy making his way up draft boards and potentially in contention to be taken by the Commanders.

Another quarterback that has made a lot of noise as of late is Michael Penix Jr. out of the University of Washington, who has dealt with his fair share of injury issues over the years, but has gotten a lot of praise for his accuracy, as Rob Rang of FOX Sports recently pointed out via NFL on FOX Podcast.

“Michael Penix is the most accurate quarterback from the pocket in this draft class,” Rang said.

With Penix’s injury history being a major concern, it doesn’t seem likely that he will be one of the first quarterbacks off the board on April 25, but he could make a case to be taken in the first round.

Only time will tell how things will shake out in the upcoming draft and where a player like Penix might land.
