The Miami Dolphins showed great signs of improvement in the first year under HC Mike McDaniel.

Tua Tagovailoa finally looked like the player he was in Alabama before that injury, and their explosive offense was fun to watch.

Still, some defensive miscues and Tua’s string of concussions hurt them when it mattered the most, putting an end to their season in the wild-card round.

Fast forward to today, and NFL analyst Craig Carton believes they’re currently the best team in the AFC, putting them even ahead of the reigning Super Bowl champions, Kansas City Chiefs.

Carton talked about how solid their offensive line has been, adding that he does expect some regression from this team because of De’Von Achane’s injury.

He chose the Chiefs as the second-best team in the AFC, followed by the Baltimore Ravens, and his beloved New York Jets.

Carton believes that the Buffalo Bills don’t deserve to crack the top four after dropping that game in London vs. the Jacksonville Jaguars, and judging by the way the Cincinnati Bengals have played this season, it’s not a surprise to see that they didn’t make the cut either.

The Dolphins still need to get better on defense.

Getting star DB Jalen Ramsey back on the field will give them a big boost on that side of the field.

They also need to figure out a way to stop Josh Allen.

If they manage to beat Buffalo, it would be hard to envision them going home before the AFC Championship Game.
