Over the last few years, it’s become a growing trend around the NFL for head coaches to skip attending the league’s annual Scouting Combine.

This year, Sean McVay of the Los Angeles Rams, Matt LeFleur of the Green Bay Packers, Kyle Shanahan of the San Francisco 49ers, Mike McCarthy of the Dallas Cowboys, and Mike Macdonald of the Seattle Seahawks were some of the head coaches who decided not to attend the 2024 NFL Scouting Combine.

But while some head coaches weren’t in attendance, FOX Sports’ Peter Schrager shared on Twitter on Sunday that there are two NFL head coaches who have been at this year’s event for every single drill.

According to Schrager, Miami Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel and Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Doug Pederson have remained in Indianapolis this week to witness every prospect drill during this year’s combine.

McDaniel is coming off of a 2023 season in which he helped lead the Dolphins to an 11-6 record, and an appearance in the playoffs for the second straight year.

As for Pederson, the Jaguars finished with a 9-8 record in 2023 for the second straight season since his arrival in 2022.

Unlike the 2022 campaign, however, Jacksonville failed to make the playoffs with their 9-8 record this past season, with Pederson leading the way.

Both head coaches will be looking for their teams to perform better next season than they did in 2023, and apparently, staying for the entire 2024 NFL Scouting Combine is something they believe could potentially help that happen.

Will they be proven right, or will their extended stay in Indianapolis not make much of a difference at all?
