The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have started their season with a 3-3 record in their first year with Baker Mayfield as the full-time starter.

While they might have entered the year with tempered expectations, their play thus far has kept them in the hunt within the NFC South.

The Buccaneers are slated to face off against the Buffalo Bills on Thursday Night Football.

This could be a big game for the Buccaneers, as a win would give them a winning record for the year.

Early in the week, it looked like they could be without Mayfield and Chris Godwin, as they both were on the injury report.

However, Tom Pelissero has recently reported that both players will suit up for the game, significantly increasing their chances of winning.

Pelissero also reported that Vita Vea will be a game-time decision for the Buccaneers.

Regardless of Vea’s status in this one, having two of their top offensive players is great news for the Buccaneers.

Godwin and Mike Evans have been reliable options for Mayfield in the passing game throughout the year.

While the Bills are a tough opponent, having both of these players to contend with on defense is a tall task for any team.

Without Mayfield, the Buccaneers would be forced to start Kyle Trask, a suboptimal solution given his performance in the offseason quarterback competition.

Can they figure out a way to beat the Bills, who appear to be surging and one of the AFC’s top teams?

The good news for the Buccaneers is that the Bills are coming off a loss to the New England Patriots.

They could catch them on a bad night, resulting in a surprising Buccaneers victory.
