The Los Angeles Chargers have gone through some drastic changes ever since the talented squad got beat in historic fashion by the division-rival Las Vegas Raiders during the 2023 NFL regular season.

After the Raiders dropped 63 points on the Chargers, the team decided enough was enough and chose to part ways with head coach Brandon Staley, which paved the way for the team to bring in a potentially massive upgrade in Jim Harbaugh, formerly of the University of Michigan.

Along with the arrival of Harbaugh, which might be the best coaching hire of the offseason, the Chargers needed to make some changes to the roster to address their salary cap situation.

The team was able to get Khalil Mack and Joey Bosa to agree to restructured contracts while having to part ways in one way or another with Keenan Allen, Austin Ekeler, and Mike Williams.

Along with making some roster changes to address the salary cap situation, the team appears to be bringing back a familiar face in the form of veteran linebacker Denzel Perryman, who has agreed to a one-year deal, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

After six seasons with the franchise, Perryman has bounced around the league over the last three years or so, spending two years with the Raiders and last season with the Houston Texans.

Perryman had an incredible season with the Raiders in 2021 as he recorded a career-high 102 solo tackles and his only Pro Bowl selection.

Last year, Perryman played in 12 games for the Texans, recording three passes defensed, 0.5 sacks, and 45 solo tackles.
