The Los Angeles Lakers beat the Phoenix Suns, but the fans, the front office, the coaching staff, and even the players may not be satisfied at all.

They shouldn’t have had any sort of issue getting past a Suns team down two of their three best players, and Darvin Ham had to play LeBron James for the entire fourth quarter to be able to win this game.

That’s why NBA analyst Alan Hahn believes this Lakers team isn’t going anywhere.

Even though Anthony Davis did have 30 points, it’s evident that he’s not the most important player on the team, nor he’ll ever be.

Talking on ESPN’s Get Up, Hahn urged his colleagues and the fans to stop asking Anthony Davis to carry LeBron’s torch and be ‘the man,’ adding that there’s no torch to carry because he’s simply not that guy.

Hahn believes that Davis is going to have some great nights against mid-level centers and mid-level teams, and then disappear when his team needs him.

Truth be told, it’s hard to blame him for feeling that way, as Davis has been on the team for five years now, and that’s been the trend.

The Lakers won the championship in 2020 when LeBron was still able to put the weight on his shoulders and do most of the heavy lifting.

But Davis is a Robin, not a Batman — which is perfectly fine — and the team will then have to look for another alpha dog somewhere else, as James can’t do it on his own anymore.
