The Utah Jazz are currently in rebuilding mode after getting rid of their star duo of Donovan Mitchell and Rudy Gobert.

The organization traded for Atlanta Hawks big man John Collins earlier this summer in exchange for Rudy Gobert and a future second-round draft pick.

While not many expected Collins to make headlines for the Jazz, the veteran forward has proved his doubters wrong.

Collins made history after playing three games for the team as he became the first player since the 1979-80 season to register three consecutive double-doubles to begin his career with the franchise, as revealed via Utah Jazz’s official Twitter handle.

In his first three games with the Jazz, Collins has averaged 13.0 points, 11.0 rebounds, and 1.7 assists per game for the team.

Although Collins has had a good start to the season, the same cannot be said for the team.

They currently have a 1-2 record in the season, which puts them in the 12th spot in the Western Conference.

The silver lining for the Jazz is the fact that there are still 79 games left in the season.

They may not be a championship contender, but the Jazz can at least try to clinch a spot in the play-in tournament, at the very least.
