The Dallas Cowboys have shown cracks in their armor ever since achieving blowout wins in three of their first four games this season, but they likely still see themselves as legitimate Super Bowl contenders.

Defensively, they have some issues, but they also have All-Pro pass rusher Micah Parsons, who is one of the best in the game.

Parsons may get a bit of consideration for the MVP award, but he wants Cleveland Browns defensive end Myles Garrett to be in the discussion for the award, per B/R Gridiron.

So far this season, Garrett has put up impressive numbers — 7.5 sacks, 16 quarterback hits, and six tackles for loss, and he has helped the Browns forge a surprising 4-2 record, even without star running back Nick Chubb and quarterback Deshaun Watson.

Cleveland has been doing it with defense, and even though they gave up 38 points to the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday, they also won that contest with defense.

Garrett had two sacks and two quarterback hits, and he also had a spectacular block of a field goal attempt by Indianapolis kicker Matt Gay.

Cleveland was coming off an impressive 19-17 upset over the San Francisco 49ers the previous week, and they’re doing something they haven’t done in many years — finding ways to win games even when they haven’t played their best or been close to full strength.

Only two defensive players have ever won the NFL regular-season MVP award, and the last such player to do so was the New York Giants’ Lawrence Taylor in 1986.
