The Baltimore Ravens defeated the Arizona Cardinals in Week 8, bringing their season record to 6-2.

With this win, the Ravens are now tied with the Miami Dolphins, Kansas City Chiefs, and Jacksonville Jaguars for the best record in the AFC.

Despite their victory, Ravens cornerback Marlon Humphrey did not seem pleased with the way that this game turned out.

According to Humphrey via Jamison Hensley: “It’s always good to win in the NFL, but the standard we’re chasing, we felt like it was not that today.”

The Ravens dominated the Cardinals throughout the game, but a late successful onside kick made the final score seem closer than it should have been.

Humphrey seems to believe that, while the Ravens won the game, they should have played better to further put the Cardinals away.

There can be upsets in the NFL on any given Sunday, however, the Cardinals are one of the league’s worst teams.

Had they beaten the Ravens, there would have been significantly more outcry from Ravens players and fans than there currently is over a sloppy win.

With a mindset of getting better every week, the Ravens now head into the back half of the season with increased aspirations, as Humphrey mentions.

Their next three opponents are the Seattle Seahawks, Cleveland Browns, and Cincinnati Bengals.

The Ravens have an opportunity to continue their position atop the AFC with wins over each of these teams.

It’ll be a tough road to doing so, but the Ravens seem determined to get the job done.
