The Philadelphia Eagles made a huge splash on the first day of free agency.

They let D’Andre Swift leave to join the Chicago Bears, and went against their usual approach of not spending big bucks on running backs by signing Saquon Barkley.

Barkley will now play behind a much better offensive line, with a much better quarterback and wide receivers, and in a much better offense.

However, NFL analyst Skip Bayless doesn’t believe the Eagles got much better.

Talking on Undisputed, he stated that, as a Dallas Cowboys fan, Barkley doesn’t scare him one bit.

“Saquon Barkley to Philly does not scare me one bit,” Bayless said.

He pointed out the fact that he’s 0-10 in his career against the Cowboys, adding that he’s only rushed for 100+ yards twice, and those two 100+ yard games came with two big plays.

Bayless compared Barkley to the power-hitter who can hit home runs but also leads the league in strikeouts and hits for .220, adding that he doesn’t go hard between the tackles and only gets his gains on broken plays.

He believes people are getting caught up in the highlights and ignoring the lowlights, and he’s not getting any younger, and his numbers are on the decline.

While that might sound like a hot take, he does have a valid point when he talks about his struggles with injuries and how his numbers have been dipping.

Then again, the Eagles are a better team than the Giants, and they’re putting Barkley in a much better position now, so perhaps he should be a little concerned about this signing.
