The start of another NBA season is here, and it just couldn’t come soon enough.

The league features more talent than ever, and it’s pretty much impossible to rank the teams and players without snubbing at least a couple of guys.

With that in mind, ESPN pundit Stephen A. Smith took the liberty of doing so, choosing his top-5 duos for the upcoming campaign on “First Take.”

Starting at No. 5, he talked about Kawhi Leonard, Paul George, and the Los Angeles Clippers.

And while he admitted that they’ve been seldom healthy and often disappointing, everybody knows what they’re capable of when they’re on the floor.

He chose the Los Angeles Lakers’ duo of LeBron James and Anthony Davis at No. 4.

He praised LeBron as the second-greatest player of all time and thinks they have a stacked team, but doubted Davis’ ability to stay on the court.

At No. 3, he talked about Kevin Durant and Devin Booker, placing an emphasis on the fact that the Phoenix Suns now had a full training camp to develop chemistry together.

He also believes that the fact that Booker is going to run the point will open up their offense.

The Milwaukee Bucks’ duo of Damian Lillard and Giannis Antetokounmpo got the nod at No. 2.

He talked about how their games complement each other perfectly, although he still needs to see them on the court.

Last but not least, he talked about the reigning NBA champions.

He thinks Nikola Jokic is the best player on Earth right now and reminded everyone of what Jamal Murray did in the playoffs, so no one can sleep on the Denver Nuggets now.
