Believe it or not, in a whirlwind of glamorous gowns, emotional speeches and to-die-for beauty looks, the end of the 2024 awards season is upon us. This past Sunday, the coveted awards season came to a close with the biggest night in Hollywood: The Oscars.

As beauty lovers, we’ve been keeping a close eye on the the beauty trends on the red carpets throughout the season, from the SAG Awards to the delayed 2023 Emmys, The Golden Globes, People’s Choice Awards and The Oscars. While we’ve been rounding up the best beauty looks like each night, we started thinking: what are the most common makeup brands turning out looks on our favorite A-listers? So, we put our analytical glasses on, did some cross referencing, and discovered that these six makeup brands make up the most common beauty brands on award show red carpets.

Chanel Beauty

Chanel Beauty has gone viral across social media, largely for their universally flattering lip products, and as it turns out, the brand is equally as popular amongst celebrities on the red carpet. Between the 2024 SAG Awards, The Emmys and The Golden Globes, Chanel Beauty was seen on the faces of celebrities like Issa Rae, Jennifer Aniston, Ayo Edebiri and Margot Robbie, solidifying the brand’s position as one of the most popular makeup brands on the red carpet. Most recently, Oscar-nominated star of Killers of the Flower Moon, Lily Gladstone wore a full face of Chanel Beauty, as did Gabrielle Union, and Lupita Nyong’o wore a blend of Chanel products and wearable glitter for that show-stopping shimmer.
