Opening Day is in full swing: there are 13 games on the schedule, and fans from nearly all teams are finally watching the game they love.

The Minnesota Twins are playing in Kansas City against the Royals, in a much-anticipated pitching duel: Pablo Lopez vs. Cole Ragans.

The Twins attacked first, with a Royce Lewis home run against Ragans.

Lewis also logged a single in his second at-bat.

However, he suffered what looked like a pulled muscle while running the bases.

Fantasy analyst Mike Kurland posted the video of the unfortunate injury:

#MNTwins Royce Lewis left injured after this play. The injury appeared to occur as he rounded 2nd and limped into 3rd,” he tweeted.

Twins insider Dan Hayes stated that the team is calling it a right quad injury for now, without any additional specifics.

Lewis is one of the most talented players in MLB.

However, injuries have continually gotten in the way of him becoming a household name among fans and specialists.

He will turn 25 in June, yet has played only 70 MLB games prior to Thursday despite being ready for years, because of the injuries he has suffered.

He has torn his ACL twice, and suffered hamstring and oblique strains in the last two years, too.

But every time, he shows his courage and inner strength, and has the discipline to come back stronger.

Last year, after his second reconstructive knee surgery, he slashed .309/.372/.548 with a .921 OPS and 15 home runs in 58 games.

We will have to wait for an official timeline by the Twins, but this has the look of something that will require an injured list stint.
