It’s no secret that the Minnesota Vikings are in the market for a new quarterback.

After Kirk Cousins left, the team did acquire Sam Darnold, but given his small contract, he is likely slated to be the team’s backup.

This move has led Vikings fans to believe that something else is in the works, that the team has another plan for the position.

Things got interesting when the Vikings traded with the Houston Texans to acquire another first-round pick, indicating they were potentially looking to move up.

Team owner Mark Wilf addressed the team’s moves in a recent “The NFL Report” segment, saying the team added a first-round pick for “flexibility,” per reporter Steve Wyche.

It’s currently unclear what Wilf refers to with this flexibility, but with the unknown out there, fans are excited to see what will happen next.

The Vikings have never won a Super Bowl, and while they have been close a few times, the team hasn’t been able to get it done.

Perhaps a new quarterback can help them get closer to achieving these goals, if not lead them to a franchise-altering victory.

After all, Justin Jefferson is still on the roster, and he’s seen as one of the best receivers in the league.

It will be interesting to see what he thinks of the team’s new quarterback, whether it’s someone they trade up for or someone they take with their current picks.

Either way, the Vikings are about to enter a new era that will be a significant change, for good or bad.
